Spring seedling and seed swap

March 14 @ 11:00 am2:00 pm

Grown too much? Not enough? Come along to our Spring Seed[ling] Swap to trade your seedlings and seeds, find out more about seed saving, and meet a local community of growers. Drop in and stay for as long as you like. We’re running this in partnership with the Dunfermline Plant Swap & Share and EATS Rosyth.

What to bring:

  • Excess plants that you have bought, propagated or germinated yourself. Flowers, vegetables and houseplants are all welcome!
  • Open pollinated (plants pollinated naturally by birds, insects, wind, or human hands) locally saved or excess-bought seeds.

Please don’t bring genetically engineered plants, F1 hybrids, anything poisonous or noxious, and no controlled seeds. Make sure you know what the seeds and plants you are bringing are!

We’ll provide:

  • Envelopes and labels for seeds.
  • Space to relax and chat to fellow growers.
  • Q&A about seed saving.

You’ll also have the opportunity to become a member and deposit seeds into the Fife Seed Library.

This event is possible thanks to a grant from the FCCAN Seed & Development Fund.
