Our Team

The Fife Seed Library was created by three pals who give a shit and want to make the world around us better. We were inspired by visits to other seed libraries around Scotland, as well as community gardens and growing projects, and see embracing our place in nature as a non-negotiable part of continuing to exist on this planet. We are anti-capitalist, anti-oppression, and determined to create a sustainable, resilient and mutually-supportive future.

KIT

Bean Enjoyer (he/him)

Kit is an artist and a problem-solver with an uncompromising approach to radical change, who loves to teach people practically about their role in fixing the world around us. He is undaunted by derelict land, can create a thriving market garden or community space from nothing, and is leading the charge to compost, scythe and cultivate our way towards revolution. Kit is a professional gardener with decades of experience in community gardens and orchards, has worked on organic farms all over the world, and understands intimately the Fife climate and ecological landscape.

EM

Worm Friend (they/them)

Em has been slowly transforming a lifeless gravel yard into a wild and overgrown vegetable garden, complete with fruit trees and a wildlife pond. Highlights so far have included holding a toad and hearing their child exclaim the magical words “I love kale!” The real joy of Em’s garden comes from all the curious children who ask questions, and try a new vegetable or see a new bug for the first time. Their favourite thing to say on a walk is “You can eat that.” Em brings professional experience of marketing and the third sector.

AMY

Mycelium Inspector (they/them)

Amy is a recovering software developer who would much rather be in the woods, and can usually be found sniffing a wild mushroom or staring at the sea, and will ferment anything once. They love to work behind the scenes to enable other people to realise their passions unimpeded by bureaucracy and meetings, and bring a co-operative ethos to everything they do. Amy has professional experience of decentralised governance and democratic decision-making processes, as well as administration and technology.
